Returnships are intended for adults who already have work experience and are interested in a trial period which will lead to a permanent role in the workforce. The A4TD team will connect directly with individuals after they apply for the program! Program participants receive assessments and career counseling that help them identify their transferrable skills, job goals, and training needs.
Optional program workshops empower participants to identify realistic job goals about which they are passionate, apply for appropriate work, and determine their best course toward employment. Workshops are occurring around the state. They are open entry / open exit; that means they are open to everyone, and people can attend workshops as often as they like. The final workshop calendars are under development and will be posted here very shortly!
A4TD works with employers to develop opportunities for returnships that attract high caliber talent, and matches employers and participants together! A4TD staff help with logistics for each returnship, which is customized to suit the participant / employer pair. Returnship wages are paid by the employer. Wages, hours, and duration of returnships vary significantly depending on what works in each situation.
