The MSI Trucking & Sitework team is looking for an Equipment Operator/Foreman. This position is responsible for leading work teams and ensuring the timely completion of projects within the approved budget. This role involves on-site operations, coordinating with team members, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company values.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Project Leadership: Lead the project team on-site to complete daily tasks on schedule. Report any unplanned changes promptly to the MSI Trucking and Siteworks Manager
  • Earthwork Planning: Plan and implement earthwork strategies, ensuring timely notification to local utility and regulatory entities to maintain compliance with local and state regulations
  • Heavy Equipment Operation: Serve as a heavy equipment operator as directed, operating machinery efficiently and safely
  • Deadline Management: Establish a schedule to meet deadlines on internal/external site work projects. Communicate changes or delays to the manager in a timely manner
  • Site Inspections: Assist with site inspections and compile information on site conditions, reporting findings to the manager promptly
  • Project Completion: Assist in managing project completion to meet customer requirements and maintain high-quality standards
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate with team members to effectively utilize all available resources, optimizing efficiency
  • Equipment Maintenance: Communicate maintenance equipment issues to the manager to ensure smooth program operation
  • Winter Plowing: Serve as a winter plow truck driver as directed, ensuring safe road conditions during inclement weather
  • Team Support: Proactively support team members to accomplish project goals and meet deadlines
  • Safety Compliance: Take action to ensure on-site staff perform work safely and in accordance with (V)OSHA and MSI safety regulations and guidelines
  • Hands-On Work: Serve as a site worker regularly, in addition to managerial duties, to ensure projects remain on time and within budget
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate big rigs and other class A CDL vehicles as directed
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as required to support the overall success of MSI Trucking & Siteworks operations

  • Flexibility to meet operational demands, including working nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Adherence to and modeling of MSI values
  • Ability to interact courteously and professionally with co-workers and the public
  • Compliance with MSI attendance policies
  • Knowledge of construction tools/equipment operation
  • Ability to read site drawings
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to multitask and bring issues to timely closure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
