Learn IT 2 Work is a computer skills training program that helps individuals with little to no computer skills to gain the skills necessary to research topics online, d apply for jobs online. It is an intensive 20-hour program delivered over 4 or 5 days. A comprehensive curriculum ensures that participants learn all they will need to operate a computer, navigate the internet, produce documents, apply for positions on line, and use e-mail as part of their job search process.
Learn IT 2 Work is designed for people with limited computer skills who are not yet ready for a computer skills course at a technical education center. Many students have barely touched a computer! Others experience real anxiety about computers and are apprehensive about engaging in training in a classroom setting. A4TD’s friendly and professional trainers make participants feel at ease while helping them learn about computers through the lens of a job seeker. Class sizes are limited to about 10 participants per session, ensuring personal attention and individual support. Time is built into the schedule for one-on-one mentoring and small group practice.
Classes last 4 or 5 days.
Tuition is currently set at $750.
A4TD may be able to provide tuition assistance for existing SCSEP participants.
