National Employ Older Workers Week 2015

Posted on September 22nd, 2015 to Uncategorized

We are happy to join our friends across the country in celebrating National Employ Older Workers Week (NEOWW)!

NEOWW is a time to celebrate the very important role held by mature workers in the economy and the marketplace. This segment of the labor market continues to grow, and according to the United States Department of Labor, “By 2020, it is estimated that workers 55 and over will make up 25% of the U.S. civilian labor force…” At A4TD, we know mature workers to be very conscientious, diligent, productive, and committed to quality.

The event also showcases the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), the oldest jobs training program in the country, and one that has put over a million mature people back to work since its inception in 1965.
