VACANCY ANNOUCEMENT
Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES is currently accepting applications for the following position:
(2) Teaching Assistants
LOCATION: Currently located at: North Franklin Educational Center (1) & Chateauguay Central School District (1)
GENERAL
QUAULIFICATIONS: Associates Degree or Two Years of College and NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant
DUTIES:

  • provide instructional services to students under the general supervision of BOCES teachers
  • plan, implement and evaluate instruction and pupil performance as specified (by the IEP where appropriate), for individual and/or groups of students
  • plan and implement specified parts of the daily schedule or topics of the curriculum
  • maintain standards of behavior for students using the behavior management techniques which enhance the students’ development toward independence
  • plan and implement remedial instruction when necessary
  • perform various clerical and related duties assigned by the teacher

STARTING DATE: Immediately
BENEFITS: Pursuant to the applicable collective bargaining agreement
SALARY: $23,468 (2019-20 Base Salary) – Consideration for additional salary may be granted based upon education and experience.
