Job Details

• Coordinates the registration process by obtaining accurate medical, insurance. And demographic information from patients at each visit and ensuring the new patient information sheet is filled out on the patient.
• Maintains solid knowledge of all insurance plans by utilizing insurance manuals and appropriate correspondence.
• Answers phones in a timely manner, schedules appointments, takes and distributes complete and accurate phone messages, return patient phone calls, answers miscellaneous questions and screens physician phone calls.
• Communicates with patients regarding physician schedule and if physicians are running behind.
• Collects pertinent information prior to the appointment.
• Checkout patients, collect payment/ copays, issue receipt, and schedule any follow up appointments.
• Balance payments for daily office visits per office procedure.
• File, scan, documents for all patients, prepare and maintain patients medical records.
• Control inventory and order office supplies per supervisors’ approval.
• Maintains neatness of reception area throughout the day and ensures that workplace is tidy.
• Participates in regular staff meetings and/or educational activities and programs.
