POSITION SUMMARY
The hospital Greeter/Transport role is an integral part of the outstanding quality of care provided by Brattleboro Memorial Hospital (BMH). As a member of the Greeter/Transport team, you will be responsible for the smooth flow of patients, visitors and employees through designated entrances of the hospital. You will greet and direct all people entering BMH. Additionally, you will provide regular transport of patients throughout the hospital buildings via wheelchair and stretcher as well as performing regular transport of lab specimens, medications and various equipment between departments.
In addition to outstanding customer skills, the ideal candidate for this position is able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time and push an occupied wheelchair or stretcher.
QUALIFICATION
- EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:
- Proven customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality & professionalism.
- Ability to act independently and as part of a team.
- One year of hospital/healthcare experience is preferred.
