Sheriff’s Office Executive Assistant

Tioga County currently has a full-time with benefits vacancy for Sheriff’s Office Executive Assistant. The position is a non-union position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Possess the ability to input, process and update Protection from Abuse information

Possess the ability to navigate state systems in connection with processing issuance of License to Carry (concealed)

Keep accurate and up to date information on all aspects of the criminal process including commits and discharges, warrants, transports and Court Orders

Possess ability to gather information from various databases and apply the information effectively

Accurately prepare and process various documents including court related documents and legal documents.

Perform entries into various County and State computer systems

Possess the ability to independently reason logically to analyze data, reach conclusions and make recommendations

Possess good communication skills with other staff and members of the public

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduation from high school, or possession of a GED certificate, supplemented by an Associate’s degree in business management or related field, or a combination of education and experience.

STARTING RATE: $12.00 per hour

HOURS OF WORK: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
