Corporate Chauffer

Summary

This position is the face of the company and often the first employee a visitor or potential new hire will meet face to face. The chauffeur operates Facilities motor pool vehicles to transport employees and visitors to and from the National Life Group campus, to and from the airport, and to and from restaurants or events. The trips run early mornings, evenings and on weekends. This is a supplemental, part-time position with drivers expecting an average of 20 hours per week with summer/fall hours averaging 30 – 40 hours per week. This position is part of the Site Management section of the Facilities team, reporting up to the Facilities Site Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Possess and maintain a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check.
  • Be flexible as transportation requirements change on short notice.
  • Be available to work overtime on short notice (could be up to 45 minutes, 5 times a week) depending on workload.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure is essential.
  • A strong work ethic and a demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.

Must also be able to:

  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Work independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those encountered in the course of daily activities.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Defensive driving / Winter driving courses
The starting rate listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
