Flexible hours and a great work environment for a skilled studio assistant in a busy ceramic studio.

Natalie Blake Studios is a world-class ceramic art studio with a 25-year history of providing top-notch service to design firms and art consultants across the country. Our Studio Assistant plays a crucial role in managing a high volume of active projects throughout the year, and the ability to stay focused and productive on multiple physical tasks every week is essential.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Pugging, rolling, and cutting tiles to design specifications. The ability to lift 50 pounds is required.
  • Kiln loading and unloading
  • Studio equipment cleaning and maintenance
  • Shipping — packaging, shipper interface, and customer service
  • Inventory management of ceramic supplies and shipping supplies
  • And other studio tasks as needed.

Essential skills include a cheerful, can-do attitude and confidence and competence with a wide range of physical work and equipment. The ideal candidate has had successful experience in a high-end studio environment (of any type) and is a fast learner in new situations.

Our large and airy studio has ample room to accommodate our small staff with plenty of distance. We require masks of all employees and visitors.
