Our Animal Care operations in Bar Harbor and Ellsworth, Maine are currently undergoing a massive expansion! NOW is an excellent time to join us!

Responsibilities:Successful team members will undergo a 12-week paid training program, which includes classroom and on-the-job training to learn all aspects of animal husbandry and includes laboratory animal science and genetics. Employees will learn to maintain animals to monitor animal health and welfare, maintain a sanitary environment and prepare animals for shipping. Animal Care is part of the production team at JAX and work requires attention to detail, working in a highly controlled clean room environment, fast paced that provides continuous physical movement.
Successful candidates will clear a pre-employment physical and background check.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalency as well as prior successful work experience is required for all candidates
- Lifting 25lbs on a regular basis
- Walking up a ladder
- Work well in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
