Belfast Creative Coalition
The Belfast Creative Coalition, (BCC), established in 2012, is a 501C-3 non-profit organization whose mission is to support, promote, market and coordinate arts and cultural endeavors in Belfast and Waldo County, through social media, networking, collaborations, strategic planning, calendar synching, workshops and events.
The Belfast Creative Coalition (BCC) seeks a DIRECTOR familiar with the arts and culture in Waldo County;
the makers, organizations, municipalities and events, to strengthen the Coalitions’ reach and continue
its valuable services.
Candidates should have a minimum of three years experience in a responsible administrative role in a non-profit or cultural organization, working knowledge of the arts, excellent oral and written communication skills, and experience in public relations, and marketing.
The DIRECTOR will be expected to organize and coordinate fundraising for the Coalition, inclusive of grants and events, the growth of the membership and donor base, as well as inter-organizational collaborative planning with local and regional city officials and arts advocates.
Qualified candidates should demonstrate the ability to recognize and work with many different constituencies and to work collaboratively. They should have a working knowledge of the contemporary arts scene and arts organizations in Maine. It is essential to be proficient at marketing and experience using social media, the ability to set and manage project priorities, and financial planning.
BCC has a small technically skilled in-office staff, and Board of Directors that meets frequently.
The Director has responsibilities for staff supervision and evaluation, for coordination of fiscal activity with the Board Treasurer, and for good communication, good working relationships with the Board.
The DIRECTOR will be expected to attend evening and weekend events sponsored by BCC and others
The work schedule is 20 hours per week; the salary is $20 an hour.
